The Australian share market has closed higher, taking its lead from a strong performance on Wall Street.
At the close on Wednesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 38.3 points, or 0.78 per cent, stronger at 4,921, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 37.9 points, or 0.77 per cent, at 4,940.5.
On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was 36 points up at 4,880, with 23,090 contracts traded.
