Frozen foods supplier McCain Foods has acquired Kitchens of Sara Lee (KOSL) Australia from Hillshire Brands for $82 million.
The acquisition includes a factory at Lisarow in NSW and licence rights to the Sara Lee brand.
McCain Foods Australia/New Zealand managing director Steve Yung said Sara Lee would provide a platform for growth.
"We are now focused on a smooth integration of the new business without disruption to our consumers and customers," Mr Yung said in a statement on Tuesday.
KOSL Australia sells and distributes Sara Lee frozen desserts, ice cream, pastries, frozen meals and frozen fruit.
McCain Australia/New Zealand specialises in frozen potato products, vegetables, dinners, pizza and frozen fruit for the retail and foodservice sectors.
It has eight production facilities at five sites in Australia and New Zealand.
