Hong Kong shares have started the week flat.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index edged down 10.87 points on Monday to 23,590.91 on turnover of HK$65.09 billion ($A8.03 billion).
The market posted healthy gains at the end of last week following better-than-forecast Chinese growth data for 2012.
Chinese shares closed up 0.48 per cent.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 11.15 points to 2,328.22 on turnover of 113.0 billion yuan ($A17.41 billion).
