US stock markets closed in the red on Monday after poor data on the manufacturing sector in November.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 59.52 points (0.46 per cent) at 12,966.06 in closing trade.
The S&P 500-stock index fell 6.69 (0.47 per cent) to 1,409.49, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 8.04 (0.27 per cent) at 3,002.20.
