Hong Kong shares tumbled 1.19 per cent on Monday despite another batch of data showing China's manufacturing activity improving further in November.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index eased 262.54 points to end at 21,767.85 on turnover of HK$53.75 billion ($US6.94 billion).
Chinese shares closed down 1.03 per cent. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 20.35 points to 1,959.77 on turnover of 43.0 billion yuan ($US6.8 billion).
