Poker machine maker Aristocrat Leisure's profit has more than doubled and the company expects further growth as it releases new gaming products.
Aristocrat made a net profit of $45.5 million in the nine months to September 30, up from $19.9 million in the previous corresponding period.
The company has reported a nine-month profit as it has moved the end of its financial year from December 31 to September 30.
Aristocrat said the profit growth was driven by its efforts to improve efficiencies, illustrated by a 76 per cent rise in earnings from the previous corresponding period, on 30 per cent revenue growth.
Its $US80.9 million ($A77.82 million) profit from north America in the nine months to September was up 18 per cent from the previous corresponding period, as sales of machines grew by a similar rate.
The company's Australia and New Zealand operations delivered a $45.9 million profit, up seven per cent from the previous corresponding period.
Chief executive Jamie Odell said the company's performance would continue to improve in the year ahead.
"Major new game releases across all key markets, continued cost discipline and the benefit of efficiency and culture measures are expected to drive a further lift in operational performance over the current financial year, despite sustained headwinds," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
Aristocrat declared an unfranked final dividend of two cents per share, taking dividends in the nine months to September to an unfranked six cents.
