The Australian dollar is virtually unchanged following a quiet overnight session.
At 0630 AEDT on Friday, the currency was trading at 103.83, just below its level of 103.84 US cents on Thursday afternoon.
With US markets closed due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the currency traded in a tight range of between 103.55 US cents and 103.94 US cents overnight.
But it received some support during the European session with stock markets moving higher as traders reacted to better-than-expected Chinese manufacturing data released on Thursday.
London's FTSE 100 rose 0.68 per cent overnight while Germany's DAX was up 0.84 per cent and Paris' CAC 40 finished 0.6 per cent higher.
