Hong Kong stocks opened flat on Monday as another set of upbeat Chinese trade data were offset by concerns over the US "fiscal cliff" and a Japanese economic contraction.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was down 16.81 points at 21,367.57 in the first minutes of trade.
