Hong Kong stocks opened down 0.14 per cent on Wednesday as investors awaited the outcome of the tight US presidential election.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index slipped 30.62 points to 21,913.81 in the first minutes of trade despite solid gains on Wall Street.
