ANZ Banking Group Ltd has completed the acquisition of The Royal Bank of Scotland's retail, commercial and private banking businesses in Indonesia.
This completes the final stage of ANZ's purchase of selected RBS businesses in six Asian countries, ANZ said in a statement on Monday.
ANZ previously acquired RBS businesses in the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.
"Across the six markets, ANZ has added 49 branches, 1.6 million customers and $US6.5 billion ($A7.5 billion) in customer deposits as a result of the acquisition," ANZ said.
"ANZ has more than 900,000 customers in Indonesia, and we'll continue to invest and support customers in this key market for ANZ," ANZ chief executive Asia Pacific, Europe and America Alex Thursby said.
ANZ now has 28 branches in 11 Indonesian cities.
Media reports on Monday claimed ANZ was interested in buying out a majority partner in Indonesia's Panin Bank.
