Medical waste disposal company SteriCorp Ltd says revenue for the March quarter rose by 33.7 per cent to $8.8 million following the acquisition of the remaining 50 per cent of Daniels Sharpsmart Australia Pty Ltd (DSA) in December last year.
SteriCorp said needles disposal company DSA contributed $2.5 million to revenue for the quarter ended March 31.
Core business EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) was $2.3 million for the quarter, compared to $900,000 in the prior corresponding period.
The acquisition of the remaining 50 per cent of DSA contributed $1.2 million to core business EBITDA.
Stericorp said the results for the quarter made it confident of achieving its market guidance.
SteriCorp shares were 0.9 cents higher at 8.8 cents at 1443 AEST today.
