Medical waste disposal company SteriCorp Ltd says revenue for the March quarter rose by 33.7 per cent to $8.8 million following the acquisition of the remaining 50 per cent of Daniels Sharpsmart Australia Pty Ltd (DSA) in December last year.

SteriCorp said needles disposal company DSA contributed $2.5 million to revenue for the quarter ended March 31.

Core business EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) was $2.3 million for the quarter, compared to $900,000 in the prior corresponding period.

The acquisition of the remaining 50 per cent of DSA contributed $1.2 million to core business EBITDA.

Stericorp said the results for the quarter made it confident of achieving its market guidance.
