Transport and logistics company Toll Holdings Ltd will make some organisational and personnel changes from January 1, 2010, to enhance its ability to expand into regional and global markets.
Toll managing director Paul Little said on Monday a new Global Express division would group together the express businesses of Toll IPEC, Toll Priority and Toll Fast, with Toll personnel and Toll Stream Solutions.
The division will be headed up by Shane O'Neill.
A new Domestic Forwarding division will group together the Toll SPD, Toll QRX, Toll Shipping, Toll Tasmania, Toll Edwards and Toll New Zealand businesses and will be led by Paul Ebsworth.
A new Specialised & Domestic Freight division will group together the businesses of Toll Express, Toll Linehaul, Westrans, NQX, Perkins, Toll Liquids, Toll Fleet, Toll Chemicals and Toll Transitions under Mal Grimmond.
"I believe these changes will ensure we pave the way toward a future of further growth and new opportunities for our company and our people," Mr Little said in a statement.
Mr Little also announced that Toll's chief operating officer, John Ludeke, would retire at the end of the financial year.
Toll shares were 14 cents higher at $8.24 on Monday.
