Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange at close on Friday:

GNC - GRAINCORP LTD - down seven cents at $11.90

GrainCorp has been given the go-ahead by the competition watchdog to offer long-term agreements to exporters using its ports along Australia's east coast.

LYC - LYNAS CORPORATION - down 3.5 cents at 64 cents

Rare earths miner Lynas Corporation has announced the first feed to kiln and commencement of operations are under way at its controversial advanced materials plant in Malaysia.

MTS - METCASH - down eight cents at $3.43

Grocery wholesaler Metcash has downgraded earnings guidance as the ongoing supermarket food war has forced down prices, resulting in a weaker first half profit.

PRY - PRIMARY HEALTH CARE - down one cent at $4.00

Medical centre operator Primary Health Care remains on track to lift earnings by up to 25 per cent in the 2012/13 financial year.
