Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange at close on Wednesday:
AIO - ASCIANO LTD - up three cents at $4.37
Asciano will axe 270 jobs and build a more automated workplace as it completes a $348 million expansion of its container terminal at Port Botany in Sydney.
BHP - BHP BILLITON LTD - down 61 cents at $30.18
BHP Billiton has flagged a five per cent rise in 2013 iron ore production after a bumper result for the June quarter.
GLG - GERARD LIGHTING GROUP LTD - up 21.5 cents, or 26.71 per cent, at $1.02
Shares in Gerard Lighting Group have soared more than 25 per cent after the company recommended shareholders accept a $186 million takeover offer from Lighting Group Australia.
